Some time ago, I took some of the output of this, and did a little experiment on my classmates in the Literary Studies (MA) program. I was doing a presentation on (the unexpected topic) of what is wrong with academic study of literature. To illustrate, each of them got a sheet of paper with several paragraphs of text, one was from a paper by the program, and two were from papers published in literary journals.
I wanted to know whether they could distinguish between them. The result was that no one could clearly distinguish the rubbish from the stuff that was actually published in journals. It was all rubbish, anyway, so no wonder they could not.
