I was wondering if anyone knows a good vmware program (tried it)

I was just reading today about this topic because I want to try other operating systems but I don't want to mess up my HD partitioning scheme and virtualization is the key answer.
Anyways, according to this article, VMware is not recommended comparing to VirtualBox since the last one is a free software, easier to use, and has more features, so perhaps it's a better candidate than VMware.

From personal experience, VirtualBOx is a lot smoother than VMWare. It feels the same as running the OS directly. Also, the latest release has support for  "seamless windows".

actually I've downloaded VMware Workstation 6 and tried it, it works fine but I'm facing a small problem

the situation is like this
- I have a Windows 2003 server domain network and we do the devlopment on CentOs Linux environment, we need to make a cluster environment locally to simulate our production evironment ,
what I'm thinking in is using two machines (the linux one and 2003 server one) as follows
downloading CentOS on the two machines and using a VMware to create a virtual machine on every pc, by that I'll have 4 machines working I'll use one of the virtual machines to run windows 2003 server to keep my domain network
every thing runs good reaching this point, but the problem I'm facing is that I want to make the 2003 virtual machine point to my old 2003 system so I don't lose any domain information
untill now this didn't work

any suggestions plz ?
