Yes, I love the socialistic roots and aspects of it too.
Actually it is clear why we don't often hear of the IWD; it gets overshadowed by the revolution anniversary, but I think it is perfectly possible to celebrate both. It just needs people to remember it and spread the word.
We can consider this a start.

I think that celebrating this kind of occasions shouldn't be just by greetings and wishes!... It must contain some real activities and work.... dunno!..... If not, then it'll be just like any other day
