Problem in the laptop speakers

Hello, I have really a stuck problem with my laptop's speakers .. they don't give any sound but when I plug the Headphones the sound works properly ... I tried to : 1- Change options , nothing works. 2- Re-install the driver , update the driver , nothing works. 3- Browse the net found some really sad results on DELL forums .... but they recommended to try the DELL diagnostic and test the AUDIO it worked properly from the internal speakers ... they gave sound and in the end of the test they asked me If I heard any sounds ..I answered "yea" .. so they told me the test went fine and nothing wrong in Hardware ... In DELL fourm they said If the Diagnostic test passed there isn't any problem with your hardware .. so what software problem this might be?? What do you think ??

Well ,I guess the problem is from the speakers themselves(since -as you said- the sound has arised inside the headphone).I don't know if you can replace the laptop speakers with new ones !or plug external ones

But the speakers gave sound among the AUDIO test "DELL diagnostic"... but when windows starts .. no sound

so don't rush, may be the speakers are just fine. |

Maybe you have run the sound at high volume sometime for more than a few minutes, you most likely have blown (burned out, or damaged) your sound output. They are very sensitive on most laptops.
You can also use externally powered speakers to see if they will bypass or ignore the weak amp and work off the pre-amp circuit to provide adequate sound.

before going anywhere. i had the same problem
but maybe not for the same reasons....
so when you go to the sound options, see if the " default "
mark is on the computer speakers.
if not try to make the comuter speakers your default audio output devices.
i guess that will work.
if it didn't...then do whatever you want...
